GIS-LiveCD - the independent GIS solution
Based on the 
KNOPPIX project, a GIS-LiveCD is a bootable, ready-to-run work geographic
information system (GIS) environment on CD-ROM or DVD-ROM with which on
(nearly) any computer, independently of the installed operating system spatial
data can be visualized and analyzed. The GIS-LiveCD is free software (open source) under the GPL
